We have been trying to soak up the last days of summer. I know that technically the summer doesn't end until Sept. 21 St but we all seem to end it after labor day. Everybody goes back to work and school.
We went to Coney Island with Gay and Adrian. We swam in the nice calm water while watching the rides on the board walk. From what I hear the board walk is going to be turned into a mini mall so we wanted to check it out before it is all gone. There is nothing like a Nathan's hotdogs with sea water.
I also wanted to let you know that I added a new link >> It is Ben's site for his film Second Banana. I plan to add more links. You should feel free to check out his sight. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
We also had the girls over for an inside picnic. Gay, Diane and Adrian came over and we had a great time. I made some delicious wraps with a very light salad but full of taste. For desert I made peanut butter jelly bars. I got all of it from the barefoot Contessa. If it is something you like you should definitely copy this recipe and give it a try. We devoured everything. Check out this site to get the Panzanella salad and bars. If you make it be sure to let me know what you think. Sorry no photos, we were having to much fun to remember the camera.
Coolidge and I are becoming regulars at the Natural History Museum. We went again and he loved every minute of it. I am looking into getting a membership for our family. I plan to start taking him every Monday because they offer a class for kids that I feel he would enjoy. It is also great for a rainy day activity.
Looking forward to this Labor day weekend and will post again.

We are Back in New York. Coolidge and I went to Seattle In July and stayed until the 7th of August. Ben joined us on the 30 th of July and stayed through the last week. We spent 4 days at Sun lakes resort with my family. We go East of the mountains from Seattle once a year. We rent Cabins where there is a pool and a beautiful lake to swim in. The weather gets up into the 90's so it is necessary to have a place to cool off.
The weather in Seattle was absolutely beautiful. We went to the Woodland Park Zoo and Biked on the Burke Gilman Trail. This is a picture of us on the trail. I think we rode 8 miles there and 8 miles back. We stopped at the U village to get a beer and a bite to eat. The trail runs right in front of my mom's house so it is a great way to get out and exercise and see some amazing homes on lake Washington.
This is a photo of the kids in Sunlakes. I am still very new to adding photos and blogging all together so bare with me if this doesn't turn out very well.
We also enjoyed going to the zoo with my sisters Linsdy's and Christie and there kids, Kendal, Henry, Tyson and Kendal's friend Emma. I would have to say my favorite part was the butterfly exhibit because it was hands on and you surrounded by them.
It was wonderful to see my mom and have Coolidge spend some quality time with Grandma. Coolidge loved that he had so much space to run inside and out. Having a back yard with a river and a paddle boat to use everyday was quite a dream.
Now we are back home and back into our regular routine. We have been going to the central park pool and the playground quite often. We are trying to get as much summer activity in as possible because Labor day is right around the corner and soon we will be putting the sunblock away and getting our coats out of the closet.
I hope you have enjoyed my blog and will check it out to hear the news about me and my family. I plan to add all sorts of topics in the future.
